Program Overview
The Class A CDL program at Diesel Xtrem prepares students for the DPS Class A commercial driver's license skills test. The program covers ELDT theory requirements for combination vehicles and provides behind-the-wheel preparation for the pre-trip inspection, range maneuvers, and road skills test components. Completion of this program does not guarantee a CDL or employment.

Program Structure
Step 01 — Submit IntakeComplete the intake form to receive program details, scheduling options, and next steps.
Step 02 — Complete ELDT TheoryAfter obtaining your CLP, complete the online ELDT theory course at your own pace before beginning behind-the-wheel preparation.
Step 03 — Obtain Your CLPPass the CDL General Knowledge and applicable endorsement knowledge tests to receive your Commercial Learner's Permit.
Step 04 — Behind-the-Wheel PrepComplete scheduled in-person preparation sessions covering pre-trip inspection, range skills, and road driving.
Step 05 — Skills TestTake your DPS CDL skills test. Diesel Xtrem provides test-truck rental if needed.
